1. Introduction

ChairCheck ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Registration:

• Email address
• Name
• Phone number
• Business/Barbershop information
• Password (encrypted)

Booking and Appointment Information:

• Client names and contact information
• Appointment dates and times
• Service preferences
• Notes about clients
• Booking reminders, queue notifications, and SMS/OTP verification events

Location Information:

• Approximate Location: May be used to help users discover nearby barbers and shops.
• Precise Location: May be used when a location-based feature requires more exact positioning and you grant permission.
• Location access is optional and only used when the feature is enabled by the user.

Microphone / Voice Input:

• Microphone input and speech-to-text transcripts may be processed when you use voice-enabled booking or assistant features.
• Microphone access is optional and only active while the feature is in use.

Camera and Photos:

• Profile photos, portfolio photos, shop logos, and other images you upload.
• On supported devices, images may be added using the device camera or by selecting files from the device.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, model, operating system
• Usage Data: Features used, time spent, pages accessed
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics, crash reports, usage patterns
• Advertising ID: Google Advertising ID (GAID) may be collected by Firebase Analytics for ad personalization and attribution. You can reset or opt out via your device settings.
• Location Data: Approximate and precise location may be collected if you enable location-based discovery or related features.

• Creating and managing your account
• Processing and managing appointments

• Sending SMS one-time passcodes (OTP), queue alerts, and booking status updates
• Supporting voice-based assistant and booking features

📱 SMS / Text Messaging Program (Mobile Terms)

ChairCheck offers SMS/text messaging so barbers and clients can manage appointments and account security. This section describes our mobile messaging program:

• Types of messages: One-time passcodes (OTP) for login and phone verification, appointment confirmations and reminders, walk-in queue and wait-time alerts, and booking status updates.
• How you opt in: You provide express consent by checking the SMS consent box on our sign-up or booking form (see our SMS opt-in flow). Requesting a sign-in code only sends that one-time code. Consent is never pre-selected — you must actively opt in. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using the app.
• Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and appointments.
• Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt-out: You can reply STOP to opt out at any time. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will stop sending SMS messages to that number.
• Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at chaircheck1.site@gmail.com.
• Carriers: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Data Security

We implement comprehensive security measures:

• Account data retained while account is active
• Deleted data permanently removed within 30 days

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We only use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and solely to operate the ChairCheck service:

• Google (Firebase services)
• Twilio (SMS delivery and phone verification) — used only to deliver the messages you have consented to; Twilio does not use your number for its own marketing.
• Supabase (database, authentication, and backend)
• Cloud hosting providers
• Only as required by law

Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Your Privacy Rights

8. Children's Privacy

ChairCheck is NOT intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such collection, we will immediately delete the information.
